About Me

Hi. I’m Trudy. The face and life behind The Faith of Trudy.

Wife. Mom. Daughter. Great-Leader-Wanna-Be. Boss Lady. Noodler. Jesus Follower. Artist. Table Sharer. Community Builder. Dot Connector. External Processor. Pot Stirrer. Collector of People & Ideas. Aspiring World Changer.

Working to bring ideas to life through relationships and conversation…learning to be a better leader and to live out my faith as follower of Jesus…making my community a better place for everyone…gathering and sharing life around our table…and noodling on how to connect the dots so this all fits together.

That just about sums me up. I’m pretty much just making it up as I go.

How I got here…

The year 2020 and COVID-19 have brought a lot of changes to a lot of lives. Mine is no different, albeit, I am blessed to be able to say that for me personally the changes have been all positive. Due to covid I spent 7 months working from home. Suddenly I didn’t have to commute, didn’t have to think about what I was going to take in my lunch, didn’t have to spend my weekends grocery shopping and doing laundry to prepare for the next week. I started having my groceries delivered and I realized that no one cared if I had on clean underwear (well, my family probably still cared). Finding myself suddenly having weekends available to do whatever I wanted I started trying lots of new things. I learned to make kombucha, grow sprouts, and kayak. I tried my hand at making stained glass, started an instagram page and a blog. At the encouragement of my daughter I tried my hand at drawing. That new drawing hobby and blogging are how we ended up here. Thanks for stopping in. Come back often!

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”
